Investigating Paranormal Activity

On entering the premises we were surprised to see three young children, the parents and two teenagers.
We were not pleased as we do not work with children in the dwelling or an audience.
We decided to work upstairs but only to sense what was meant to be reported as the disturbance. We would not attempt to contact any spirit because of the situation.
Whilst climbing the stairs we all felt this was an active area and also the landing. We moved to the rear bedroom and found we were all in agreement there was a presence of a small child around three years of age, she was not in distress and was grounded to the property, she was there for the small baby who was one of the children in the house. She would look over her and care for her.
I decided to move to the front bedroom, as I entered I heard footsteps behind me, this was definitely the light feet of a child. I asked her to come to me and felt very warm on my left hand.
This lasted for only a few seconds, I returned to the team in the rear bedroom and mentioned this. Cathy responded saying that she had felt the child leave as I had entered the other room.
Jeff, Lorraine and Cathy had also sensed a male who was in visitation. What stood out on this gentleman was his hat, it was like a railway guards with the low peak. It had been reported that a male had been seen by the owners of the property but on this short visit we could not tell if this was the spirit seen. They had also seen the small child and we can confirm that this is the child we have sensed.
Cathy, Jeff and Lorraine mentioned they had also sensed another child, she was around 8 or 9 and sadly had a hair lip, she was sensed as visitation.
We found the evening very difficult as there was so much disturbance coming from the residents downstairs, we decided as there was no pressure to have to work with these spirits and they were very calm, it was our decision to stop the investigation and monitor the situation for the next few weeks.
On speaking to the Mother of the household we explained there was absolutely nothing to fear and to report to us if any disturbance continues. I might add she did not believe there was; but her husband had seen both the little girl and the gentleman on various occasions. These sightings were on the stairs and at the top of the landing.
The team is in agreement that unless the dwelling is vacated by all, if we need to return at any time: it would be impossible to work under the conditions that we experienced previously.
Our conclusion is that this dwelling does have paranormal activity, it does not pose a threat to any of the residents.
We did record on tape part of the investigation but because of the disturbance from the residents down stairs we could not be sure of the results we recorded.
We believe we could have had further contact with spirit within this property but conditions on the night were against us. The main reason being, we do not investigate with children in the dwelling.
