Investigating Paranormal Activity
Ghosts maybe but EVP, well yea.
Time and time again during our investigations we have checked our filming and found
strange but clear voices on the recording. This I might add has not been the voices
of any of the team.
What does make me wonder is occasionally we hear certain noises or voices by human
ear, but more seems to get recorded without the team noticing it and we know at the time
we were near that area or we were actually asking questions.
I remember on one occasion we were discussing why a certain spirit would frighten the
child that lived in the house we were investigating, there was nothing heard at the time but
when we checked our filming we heard a frail woman say “Oh Oh Sorry “. This I might add
came out on all four Mic’s on the cameras, which were placed in different rooms.
It makes you wonder why we did not hear this at the time. Spirit work in unusual ways and if they want you to hear then you will, but in many cases it is later you find the answers of which they chosen in their way to show you. A bit like a puzzle sometimes, they let you work it out.
On another occasion we have been given names through thought, I mean to say they are put into your head and at the time you mention these to the team for record purposes. Two names were mentioned on this night. When the filming was checked two male voices were heard and they spoke to each other mentioning these names that were given to us.
Again it was the spirits choice for us not to hear directly.
I can never understand, they had the choice to communicate directly but did not and we find this to be an ongoing situation. OK yes it would be so easy to talk face to face as we say, but hey, I think even they would not want it that easy.
As I have said we all have experienced individual words that have been said to us by spirit but as for a full conversation, Phew!!!!!!. would’nt that be something to write home about.
It is wonderful when the team works together, mainly through thought. We all get certain pictures or words at the time and when we discuss these recieved thoughts they bring out a whole picture or explanation of what is around us. Each member of the team is used by spirit presence and given a piece of information which when linked together gives us on many occasions many answers.
As an individual you never stop learning in this line of work as there are always new things that you link to, and as a team the link with each other has no boundries. You become very strong together.
I have just thought of another investigation myself and Jeff were doing. It was at the Kings Arms Royal Hotel and we were discussing about a noisy fan in the bar area. I had said to Jeff, ” Is that fan sucking out or blowing air into the room”.
When we checked our filming at that time I had asked the question, a voice was heard to say “Blowing”.
This was not any of the teams voices as there was only me and Jeff there.
Well like we said we always seem to attract some sort of communication, which is why we are there of course.

Its all very well investigating venues, but how do you work out what is there and
how you deal with it.
So many teams rush in and try and clear regardless. The first part is sense what
is there. It is the client that will tell you if it is a problem or not.
But it is the team that must decide if the spirit needs to be moved on.
Not all clients want a spirit moved on but the team must assess the situation
and if they feel that a spirit is trapped then recommend they must be released.
Not all spirits need to be cleared.
Spirit can be attracted to an individual, they feel safe around them but as I have
said, is the situation correct? If the client is content and the spirit is calm then
the team would not take any action. It would be investigation only.
Many times we have found there is reason for the visit. Find out why!
If we find that it is a possession, I mean it is a spirit that does not want someone
living in the dwelling that they lived in, then we persuade the spirit to move on by
explaining they have passed and have no claim on material things anymore and that there
love ones are waiting for them.
If on the other hand they are in visitation, which means they have moved on but have returned we would use stronger methods if persuasion fails.
Every team has its own methods of heavier clearance and each method can be very strong with a very close connected team, it is all to do with the gifts that each individual team member has.
I am not prepared to disclose our method as this is very personal to us.
This again is used for negative spirit of which can be very aggressive and disruptive. Yes we have had dealings with negativity on many occasion’s and some cases have taken several visits to clear successfully.
Yes we have been touched, pushed, had objects move, heard sounds e.t.c.
It is knowing what you are dealing with that is so important, if you don’t get it right then it does make matters worse. This is why we try to ask other teams if they have limited experience then don’t attempt it. A lot of the time we are called out to tidy up other teams mistakes.
We feel that we are guided with our work and by the success of our services to date we also feel that we have learned and are still learning to conduct our clearances with the respect and honesty that it deserves.
It is an overwhelming feeling when a spirit moves on and even more overwhelming to know that they are safe.
This is why a team should be experienced and knowledgeable in their procedure.
